The democratization process of our citizens (and region) depends upon this strict transparency of our public institutions within and without our borders.
Therefore, we would like our government to respect and support the EAC Treaty to the last dot and comma.
Ordinary Kenyans are very shrewd patriots: who recognise the inherent dangers of political opportunism (especially the virulent kind now killing our domestic institutions). We do not wish to see that cancer exported to our neighbours.
We are also not afraid to confront the unpredictable factors of human politics – precisely because Kenyan development so far is not based upon grasping the familiar – but rather based upon taking calculated risks now and again. And these ordinary Kenyans are willing to stake their future profits upon Rwanda and its leadership of the EAC.
The practical recognition that EastAfricans (at all levels) must function like inseparable Siamese twins with the shared obligation to encourage and promote transparent governments within and beyond our domestic borders -- in order to gain credible traction at multilateral institutions like the EAC (and beyond).
