Dear Editor,

The issue of African leaders who earn a living at the expense of their country, people’s lives and clinging to power must come to an end.

Not many elections in Africa go without rigging, a stringed violence or death toll. At the moment, this is happening in Kenya where up to 800 people have already lost their lives and thousands displaced. Kibaki and Odinga seem to be wasting time and concentrating on re-run, power sharing among other things instead of protecting civilians from the police that has also failed to keep law and order but kill people.

Notably, the strife has not only tarnished part of Kenya’s image but also hurt business in its immediate neighboring countries. Kibaki and Odinga should tackle their selfish tribulations with more practical solutions, may be the army would do.
