Kenya needs solutions not alarmists

Dear Editor, A lot have been said about Kenya but very little done about the crisis.

Dear Editor,

A lot have been said about Kenya but very little done about the crisis.

Though the conflict has now taken an ethnic dimension, I still believe that the major cause of all this is corruption, poor economic and political management by the outgoing government (Kibaki’s) which the people of Kenya opposed in the recently concluded elections.

It is unfortunate that the Kibaki and his corrupt friends do not want to leave power.

My suggestion is that the international community, especially the donors should ask this old man (Kibaki) to step down and an interim government takes over until fresh elections are conducted.

However, Kenyan conflict should send a clear signal to African leaders who cling to power.
