The selection was jointly handled by the federation’s technical advisor Innocent Karuhije and the senior national basketball team coach Vaceslave Kavedzija who also doubles as the junior coach.
It is the second time that the provisional team has been trimmed down after having been trimmed down from 52 to 27 two weeks ago.
The 21-man team will further will cut down to 12 who will eventually represent Rwanda in the grand qualifiers in April.
"We have cut down the number to 21 and we shall continue doing so until we come up with the top 12,” the federation’s secretary general Jean Lucien Mugabo said.
