FINA Bank to open more branches

FINA Bank is keen to open six more branches this year to expand its presence in rural areas, a top official said yesterday. Bullish on the Rwandan economy, Rao G. Balivada, the Bank’s new Managing Director said that two branches will be opened in Kigali while four others will be rolled out across the four provinces with Automated Teller Machine (ATN) services.

FINA Bank is keen to open six more branches this year to expand its presence in rural areas, a top official said yesterday.

Bullish on the Rwandan economy, Rao G. Balivada, the Bank’s new Managing Director said that two branches will be opened in Kigali while four others will be rolled out across the four provinces with Automated Teller Machine (ATN) services.  Balivada has replaced Steve Caley, who has been the Bank’s Managing Director for the last five years. Fina has ten branches spread across the country.

The Bank’s head of consumer banking, Eugene Murigande, revealed that their current account has grown by 29 percent compared to last year and the savings account’s value grew by 601 percent.

"We are proud of the big progress Fina is making in such a competitive financing economy,” Murigande said during a press conference to unveil the new Managing Director.

He said that the bank has plans of tap into internet banking in the future in order to provide its customers with diverse and sustainable services.
