Stand up for the Junior Wasps

Editor,

Rwanda’s victory over Cote d’Ivoire in the second semi-final of the Africa U-17 Championship has brought a lot of joy to me and I am sure the whole football fraternity in the country.

This was another excellent display from the team which went into the tournament as the " underdogs”.
The game was graced by the presence of the President Paul Kagame and many Rwandans who turned up in large masses, giving the boys extra confidence.

Allow me to thank all those who rallied behind the strong young national team.

We have already qualified for the World Cup finals, but for the final on Saturday, our team needs us more than ever when they plays Burkina Faso. Let’s all turn up in large numbers to support them.
