In a bid to promote Rwandan music in the region, local music star, Intore Massamba, has initiated ‘Kinyarwanda Nite’ in East Africa.
"After noticing that Rwandan music was not yet popular in East Africa, I decided to start a project, and invite local artistes to perform in those countries,” Massamba said
The project is scheduled to start next month in Tanzania, thereafter in Kenya and Uganda respectively.
Speaking to The New Times, Massamba said he will host two local artistes to perform alongside him in each country.
The singer noted that the project will serve as a platform to promote local films in the region.
The ‘Kinyarwanda Nite’ will be held on the last Sunday of each month.
