Crossing over from a church choir to becoming one of the big music stars is no easy task. Yet, Kitoko appears to have already embarked on this difficult mission. 

The Salux award winner has crossed over to Uganda, where he is recording his songs with one of the neighbouring country’s best producers, Washington.

"The reason I’m recording my songs from Uganda is because I want to produce music with the fusion of Afrobeat and other genres of music and to sell my music across the boarders,” Kitoko said.

His latest singles ‘Nyina w’undi’ and ‘Turacyakundana’ have already topped local charts, and the ‘Ikiragi’ star clearly shows no signs of slowing down on churning out hits.
The singer explores his potential and, with his new artistic direction, he is fast becoming a force to reckon with in East Africa’s music industry.

Kitoko has all it takes to become a real star, thanks to his rich and unique voice, personality, maturity and a sense of purpose.

Kitoko denied rumours that he was considering quitting music.

He said: "I don’t intend to quit music any time soon. I only had a few problems to sort out, and I’m back with a bang.”
