Editor,

AS  local   government elections approach, I would like to advise fellow Rwandans to ask aspiring candidates to explain what they intend to do for them, before they give them their votes in the upcoming elections.

Some areas lag behind in spite of the several programmes initiated by the government to fight poverty.

Residents don’t gain from such programmes because local leaders have not done their part. It is incumbent upon voters to ask candidates their plans as regards poverty eradication.
