Students recently talked to Immaculate Chaka of the Children’s Times about what their plans are in 2008.

Niyonshuti Joe Jenkins, 11

I would bid farewell to everyone through a party. Since I like break dance, I would dance the whole day before dying.

Salim Manzi, 12

I like football very much so; I would play the whole day so that I get tired and die very easily. I would also eat every thing I have, sit and wait until I die so that I see what happens.

Uwera Shanice, 10

I would pray to God that he forgives my sins and I go to heaven. Then I would say goodbye to everyone.

Kalibuyeri Yvan, 12

I would not eat anything until I die because I need no food when I am dead but I would first play and pray to God.

Basher Shema Mohamed, 8

I would eat so much so that I don’t get hungry after I die.

Ngabo Romeo, 6

"What are you talking about?” For me, I can never die. It’s beginning of new term, what plans do students have for academics?

Delphine Mukundwa, 11

I will study hard and make sure that I finish in time my home work. And I send my greetings to my mother, father, teachers and siblings.

J. de Dieu Uwineza, 11

I always have difficulties in Elementary Science and Technology as a subject; I am going to make sure that I do a lot of revision in order to make it this time. I send my sincere regards to my grandmother who stays in Congo.

Sandra Karasira, 12

This term, I am so much dedicated to my studies; I will read hard, do a lot of revising in order to get good grades. My greetings go to mum, dad in Kigali.
