UK charity donates to former street children

National Police Convoy, a  UK based charity organization of retired UK police officers, has donated a consignment of over 1,300 cartons of assorted items, estimated at Rwf 27m, to three child rehabilitation centres in Kigali.

National Police Convoy, a  UK based charity organization of retired UK police officers, has donated a consignment of over 1,300 cartons of assorted items, estimated at Rwf 27m, to three child rehabilitation centres in Kigali.

The organization partnered with prominent UK Choreographer, Jules Langstafff and her team, collected the items that included, clothing, beddings, bicycles, and kitchen equipment, to support the centres.

Chief Supt Rogers Rutikanga, the Regional Police Commander, Kigali Central, received the consignment in the presence of some of the beneficiaries, saying it was a noble gesture.

Langstaff, also a former police officer, said that her team and National Police Convoy have a five-year commitment to support the child rehabilitation centres.
