Women League to start this month

THE national women league has been penciled in to start on January 22 according to the national football federation’s chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa. Thirteen clubs that include APR, Rayon Sport, Gakenke, Inyemera, Remera, Rubavu, Musanze, AS Kigali, ASPEJ, La Charite, Bugesera and Les Lionnes and UNR are expected to take part in the nine- month league.

THE national women league has been penciled in to start on January 22 according to the national football federation’s chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa.

Thirteen clubs that include APR, Rayon Sport, Gakenke, Inyemera, Remera, Rubavu, Musanze, AS Kigali, ASPEJ, La Charite, Bugesera and Les Lionnes and UNR are expected to take part in the nine- month league.

Felicite Rwemalika, the head of women football in Rwanda also revealed that Rwf25.9m is needed for the smooth running of the league.

Last season, AS Kigali defended their title after beating off stiff competition from APR.
