Editor,
I read an article titled, "Man hacked wife to death over land’’ that was published in yesterday’s paper.
I would like to appeal to families to avoid this kind of domestic violence. A family is the basic unit of a community so if a husband can kill a wife over land or any other issue, then what kind of example are you giving to our children?
In this New Year, we should all work towards building strong families and Country. These disputes can be settled without anyone being harmed or even killed, violence can not fight violence.
There are relevant government bodies that are supposed to handle such issues and be solved amicably.
When parents get killed, children become orphans and are exposed to unthinkable suffering and live a helpless life.
Therefore, as families we should try hard to avoid domestic violence as we all know that charity begins at home; let’s be examples in our homes and Country !
