Jean Paul Ndimurwango, a Rwandan national who has been operating his business in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) was, last week, found dead on the shores of Lake Kivu in DRC.
The 31-year old who was dealing in electronic appliances had opened his business in DRC less than four months ago, according to family members.
"We have two homes, one in Gisenyi which was our family home and the other in Goma where we stayed as we conducted business,” said Marie Nikuze the deceased’s wife.
"At around 5:00 pm when we left work to go home, he told me he was going to Gisenyi for a few minutes and he would come back immediately,” narrated Nikuze.
"I waited for him until 8:00 p.m. then tried to reach him on phone, but his number was not going through. I informed the neighbours and both DRC and Rwandan police that my husband was missing,” she added.
The following day, after the DRC police mounted a search, his body, that appeared to have been stubbed, was discovered on the shores of Lake Kivu.
