Editor,

I have the pleasure to react to the letter entitled "KIE management should help former students” addressed to you by a former graduate of KIE who did not disclosure his/her name. It was in The New Times of Saturday, December, 26, 2010.

The fact is clear that Kigali Institute of Education did what it could and organized the annual graduation at the end of the academic year, so as to help graduates join the labour market.

I think the concerned student should have started by recognizing this effort and appreciate what we have done so far. However, this year’s late issue of students’ Degrees and Diplomas was provoked by uncontrolled delay of a consignment from a broad due to the heavy snow.

To ease the burden, KIE has considered issuing the Academic Transcripts while waiting for the official release of Degree Certificates and Diplomas.

Constraints are shared and we are doing our best to issue the academic papers soon.
