ETINCELLES players yesterday ended a six-day sit down strike over two months’ unpaid salaries by returning to training.

The Western Province side, which is shaping up for next year’s Orange Confederation Cup, dropped three crucial points last week after handing defending champions default points in the Primus National Football League. 

But club coach Abdul Bizimana yesterday confirmed to Times Sport that the players had returned to training after having one-on-one talks with the club management.
"They (players) are all here. They met with the club’s top officials and their grievances will be sorted out soon.”
"We are now concentrating on our next league match against AS Kigali,” Bizimana said.

Despite Bralirwa’s sponsorship, local clubs are still hampered by financial constraints.

Nyamirambo based side SC Kiyovu has also been involved in financial woes and the green baggies’ coach has threatened to quit if the problem is not resolved soon.
Last year, two clubs Atraco and Electrogaz dropped out of the league after running bankrupt.
