By reading the name one can tell that Sunday Entertainment Group has a thing to do with entertainment and or some gospel of sorts. But who is the brains behind this music label that has risen up the ranks in a short time?
Sunday Justin Nzitatira, the founder, began his career as a designer, having founded ‘Igitenge Fashion House’ in 2018.
The profession was an opportunity to meet several celebrities, including artists, and beauty pageants, among others. According to him, that is when his love for supporting music grew.
"The more I worked with different artistes, the more my interests grew further and I started helping some, attending some studio sessions, and learning how DJs and producers work. However, I didn’t think of doing any form of business from music,” he said.
The birth Sunday Entertainment Group
Nzitatira shared that the inception of Sunday Entertainment, as a brand aimed at giving platforms to artistes, was in 2019, when he moved to the United State of America. He later came up with Sunday Entertainment Group as a music label in 2021.
Upon the start of Sunday Entertainment Group as a label, they signed gospel singer, Zawadi Mwiza who recently released ‘Warakoze’ after ‘NI WOWE’, ‘Uhoraho’ and her debut ‘Imirimo yawe’.
"Though some activities had been done, January this year was when we got the official RDB license to do TV Broadcasting, Radio Broadcasting, plus Arts and Entertainment which includes managing artists as well,’ Nzitatira said.
Shortly after, the label announced their new artist signed under their label, Bosco Niyokwizerwa professionally known as Niyo Bosco, a singer, songwriter and guitarist.
