WDA staff in customer care training skills

A group of 23 employees from Workforce Development Authority (WDA), last week, completed a-two-weeks training of trainers course in hospitality service.

Speaking at the closure of the training, the Director General of WDA, Albert Sengiyumva urged the trainees to effectively share the skills acquired with hotel and restaurant employees around the country.

Speaking to The New Times shortly after closing the seminar, Sam Barigye, the WDA head of training explained that the main purpose of the workshop was to equip the trainees "with skills that would enable them upgrade as trainers in customer care and Food and Beverage cost control.”

According to Barigye, in January next year, WDA will train over 400 people from hotels and restaurant around Kigali city in hospitality, customer care and food and beverage cost control.

He also noted that they will also train bank employees in quality service delivery.

Barigye revealed that, so far, 1000 hotel employees from the districts of Musanze, Rubavu, Karongi and Rusizi have been trained in customer care, as well as 423 employees from King Faisal hospital, Kigali.
