APR continued their sensational form after easing past La Jeunesse 2-0 at Mumena playground yesterday.
Left winger Jean Claude Iranzi and defensive midfielder Jean Baptist Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi scored the goals to propel the champions to their eighth win of the season.
If the military side can maintain this kind of form, they will be crowned champions as early as March next year.
The club’s former midfielder and now assistant coach Eric Nshimiyimana has however warned the players not to get complacent.
"The team is in good form and that is being reflected in the way we are playing. But the job is not yet done and it is important that the players keep their focus,” Nshimiyimana said.
At Nyamirambo’s regional stadium, Police suffered their first defeat of the season after losing out to Kiyovu 1-0. Jabir Mutarambirwa scored the goal.
Elsewhere, Rayon Sport suffered another hiccup in their title hunt after being held to a 0-0 draw by Mukura while Etincelles moved within a point of second placed Kiyovu after yesterday’s 1-0 win over Amagaju at Umuganda stadium.
