NUR lecturer releases song

Aimable Uzaramba Karasira, a lecturer in the faculty of Computer Sciences at the National University of Rwanda, on Thursday, released his first single ‘Mureke kunyitiranya.’The album was produced by Maurix music, a Huye based studio. That is not all, the Hip-hop star, famous as Prof. Nigga NDC is soon to unleash his three singles ‘Shikaleti’, ‘Si Gitera’ and ‘Si Impamvu.’

Aimable Uzaramba Karasira, a lecturer in the faculty of Computer Sciences at the National University of Rwanda, on Thursday, released his first single ‘Mureke kunyitiranya.’
The album was produced by Maurix music, a Huye based studio.

That is not all, the Hip-hop star, famous as Prof. Nigga NDC is soon to unleash his three singles ‘Shikaleti’, ‘Si Gitera’ and ‘Si Impamvu.’

"Jesus taught about Christianity, Bob Marley did it his way, and so did Che Guevara and many others,” Prof. Nigga NDC said, "but, the society has never changed.”

He continued "however, I’m sure that if you deliver a positive message to the society, though some people might ignore it but others will take it.”

Prof. Nigga NDC, who holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering, said that, he prefers Hip-hop as an easy way to express the feelings.

He added that he was mainly inspired by Rwandan artist, Byumvuhore, as well as Jamaican reggae star Peter Toch and American rapper 2 Pac.

Biography

Aimable Uzaramba Karasira was born in 1977, in Rwaniro, Huye District.

In 1980, his family moved to Kigali and he attended his primary education at EPA, Gitega in Kigali, and secondary at Lycee de Kigali.

Karasira enrolled at the National University of Rwanda in 1998 and graduated with a Bachelor degree in Sciences and Technology and a masters’ program in Software Engineering, from Sweden.

He worked as visitor lecturer at UNR from 2006 until 2008, when he became a fulltime lecturer.
