Plot: This is an animated retelling of the Charles Dickens classic novel. It is a tale about a miser taken on a journey of self redemption.

Verdict:  With fine performances from Jim Carey and Gary Oldman, and dazzling special effects,  A Christmas Carol is a joy of a film and a worthwhile recommendation for families.

There are some scary parts but all that is cheerfully covered by the firm ending.  A Christmas Carol does spread its Christmas cheer!
