A group of over 100 couples from Kigali City have been trained in various issues concerning promoting family values and solve conflicts within the  family.

The three-day seminar, which was held in Kicukiro District, was organized by the Foundation of Peace Ministries in conjunction with Samuduha Miracle Centre.

The participants were drawn from all the three districts of Kigali City. Rev. George Agaba, the founder and president the Peace Ministries, and trainer, urged the couples to bring up disciplined children.

"It should be your responsibility as God’s servants to always teach children not to discriminate anyone in the society,” he said.

Agaba, went on to teach the importance of love in the home. "As husbands and wives, always love each other and desist from any form of conflict in your homes,” he said. "This will help you avoid divorce, which is among key factors that hinder family promotion.”

In an interview, Agaba said that the main objective of the workshop was to build strong families hinged on biblical teachings.

"When you have well-disciplined families you have a better country,” he said. Agaba added that plans are underway to extend the workshop to other parts  of the country.
