Editor,

This letter is in reference to your article in The New Times of yesterday titled "Rwanda secures US$ 250m investment deal from India.”

Please, allow me to congratulate Mr Vincent Karega, the Minister for Infrastructure, who led a Rwandan delegation to India in October, this year, and Clare Akamanzi, Chief Operating Officer of the Rwanda Development Board, who was showcased Rwanda as an ideal country for investment.
I must add that the success of their visit was partly a result of all the hard work put in by His Excellency Williams Nukurunziza, Rwanda’s High Commissioner to India, and his dynamic team.

Indeed, I am delighted to read about this great investment partnership with Universal Empire Infrastructure Limited (UEIL), and it is my firm belief that many more such investments from India will and should come Rwanda’s way, given the very favourable investment climate, the ease of doing business in the country, and also the warm and friendly nature of the people in the land of a million smiles.
Wishing Rwanda many more successes in the coming New Year.
