ETINCELLES are eager to end APR’s 100% start to the 2010-2011 Primus National Football League when the two face off this afternoon at Mumena stadium.

The Western province side, who will play in next year’s Orange Confederation Cup, has amassed 12 points from their opening six games after a run of three wins and three draws.

In a brief pre-match interview with Times Sport, Etincelles coach Abdul Bizimana warned APR.

"We have had a promising start to the season and need to keep the foot on the accelerator,” he said.

"Last season, we came so close to beating them and we feel we have matured since then. To win the league, you need to beat the big teams so it is important to walk into the game with confidence.”

While APR head into the tie on the back of a convincing 4-0 win over Muhanga, Etincelles could only settle for a goalless draw with Police over the weekend.

The military side is still without left back Albert Ngabo, Malawi international Elvis Kafoteka and the striking pair of Rassou Abbas and Emmanuel Sebanani a.k.a Crespo but assistant coach Eric Nshimiyimana is not concerned.

"Against Muhanga, the team played well and we don’t expect that to change. Our target is simple, to keep the momentum going.”

At Nyamirambo stadium, Rayon Sport will look to bounce back from Sunday’s 2-0 defeat against Kiyovu when they entertain Musanze. The Blues head coach Emmanuel Ruremesha has challenged his players to fight back.

Struggling AS Muhanga hosts Mukura while AS Kigali faces a stern away test against Amagaju in Nyamagabe.

On Wednesday, SC Kiyovu Sports will host Marines at Mumena stadium as La Jeunesse lock horns with Police at Kicukiro turf.
