TANZANIA’s Serengeti Boys will be looking to bounce back from Saturday’s 1-0 defeat against Rwanda’s Junior Wasps when they take on Kenya in the U-17 tri-nations (mini-Cecafa tournament) this afternoon at Nyamirambo’s Regional stadium.

Junior Wasps’ skipper Emery Bayisenga scored the only goal of the game to give the home side a dream start in the event which is jointly organized by the regional football governing body (Cecafa) and the Ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc).

The tournament which wraps up on Wednesday with a tie between Rwanda and Kenya is also a build-up to January’s Caf U-17 championship and it has been revealed that junior wasps head coach Richard Tardy will name his final 23-man squad on December 29.

The team with most points will be crowned champion.
Rwanda is drawn in Group A alongside Senegal, Egypt and Burkina Faso and will kick off their campaign with a toughie against Burkina Faso on January 8.

Group B pits reigning champions Gambia against Ivory Coast, Mali and Congo Brazzaville.
