CAMERWA gets new boss

KIGALI - A cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame, on Wednesday, appointed Dr Juliet Mbabazi as the Director General of Rwanda Drug, Consumables and Equipment Central Procurement Agency (CAMERWA).

KIGALI - A cabinet meeting chaired by President Paul Kagame, on Wednesday, appointed Dr Juliet Mbabazi as the Director General of Rwanda Drug, Consumables and Equipment Central Procurement Agency (CAMERWA).

Before the appointment, Mbabazi was the acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of King Faisal Hospital Kigali.
The Cabinet meeting also confirmed Dr Theobald Hategekimana and Dr Andre Musemakweli as the directors of Kigali Central Teaching Hospital (CHU-K) and the Butare University Teaching Hospital, respectively, while Angelique Rwiyereka was made the Director General of Clinical Services.

The same meeting also appointed Arthur Asiimwe as Director General of Rwanda Health Communication Centre. Asiimwe is also the Board Chairman of the Media High Council.

According to the minutes of the cabinet meeting, Christian Rwakunda was appointed the Director of policy and economic planning in the Ministry of Infrastructure while Khan Jean de Dieu Hakizimana was made the Director of Corporate services

In the Ministry of Youth, the cabinet appointed, Nicolas Niyongabo as the Director General, Iwawa Vocational Training Centre while Alfred Gashugi Karekezi was appointed the Director in the Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion.
The cabinet also named board members of Rwanda Coffee Development Authority (OCIR CAFÉ) and Rwanda Tea Authority (OCIR-THE).

The cabinet meeting also confirmed Ambassadors of China, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Turkey, Oman and the United Kingdom to Rwanda.
