CRICKETERS are in skyhigh mood following the Minister of Sports and Culture’s promise to find and develop a new cricket ground. Honorable Joseph Habineza made the pledge during a gala dinner to celebrate Rwandan Cricket’s 10th anniversary at the Manor Hotel.

Honorable Joseph Habineza made the pledge during a gala dinner to celebrate Rwandan Cricket’s 10th anniversary at the Manor Hotel.
The celebrations, held under the theme "Growing with every step” were graced by among others South African International Loots Bosman and International Cricket Council Africa Chief Cassim Sulliman.
Charles Haba, the president of RCA, the local cricket governing body said, "We are all very proud of this accomplishment and we are grateful to our supporters who helped us get here.”
He cited, "A decade after its founding, the Rwanda Cricket Association now boasts of over 1000 registered cricket players and 11 competitive clubs. He also added that the progress of the development program is very encouraging and at the moment, there are more than 15 secondary schools playing cricket, more tournaments and most of all, tremendous improvement in the quality of cricket being played.
