The ongoing restructuring within the commuter transport association (Atraco) is indeed a welcome development and I believe the move will benefit many commuter owners in the long run.

Apart from turning the transport agency into a profit- making entity, the ongoing audit process will also help identify underlying problems that have characterized the agency for years and get to the root cause of the matter.

Members of atraco also hope that the selected auditing firm, Rwanda Cooperative agency will carry out the process expeditiously and in a transparent manner to satisfy all stakeholders.

There have been accusations and counter accusations among members of atraco, some of the drivers complaining about illegal parking fees and alleged mismanagement within the body. I am very certain that after restructuring, such complaints within atraco will be taken care of once and for all.
