Rwandan afrobeat artiste Daniel Semivumbi, popularly known by the stage name Danny Vumbi, has announced details of his fourth album listening party scheduled February 10.
Dubbed ‘365’ the album name represents the days the singer has not been making music. It is expected to have three listening parties in different cities of the country namely Kigali, Musanze and Rubavu.
Talking to The New Times, Danny Vumbi shared that he was inspired by the idea of representing transformative values through music.
"To me values are what represent someone’s personality and the good things they do day to day. That behavior that builds up to who you are physically and psychologically is what I mean by transformative values,” he said.
He noted that his fans who have been longing to see him back with new music are in for another treat with good music like he used to in the previous years.
"I don’t focus on the future only but I promise them that Danny Vumbi they have missed is about to be back,” he added.
The album includes singles like ’Imyuna’, ‘ Rata Google’, ‘ Kimasomaso’, ‘ Usigare Amahoro’ cover by Francois Nkurunziza, ‘Amarira y’Ingona’, ‘Inyota’, ‘Mbaza Nkubaze’, ‘Trois Cent Soixante Cinq’, ‘Twarahuje’, ‘Rwanda’. It was recorded by producers Tellthem, Pastor P, Madebeats and Bob Pro.
The singer’s third album ‘Inkuru Nziza’ was launched virtually in June 2020. Other songs by Danny Vumbi include ‘Ni Danger’, ‘Abana Babi’, ‘Yibare’, and ‘Amakosa’ among others.
The ‘Ni Danger’ hit maker is not just a singer but a good music composer who wrote hit songs like ‘Try Me’, ‘Ntibisanzwe’, ‘Active Love’, ‘Kundunduro’ and ‘Ntakibazo’ among others.
