AFTER a fruitful tour in Tunisia, more friendlies have been lined up for the national U-17 side- the junior wasps.

The team, which starts residential training this morning, will play Tanzania on December 17 before facing Kenya on December 21.

The team’s head coach Richard Tardy is leaving nothing to chance ahead of the African event which will run from January 8-22.

The national football federation (Ferwafa) Chief Executive Officer Jules Kalisa told Times Sport that the matches are meant to help Tardy weigh up his starting eleven ahead of the team’s opener against Burkina Faso on January 8.
In Tunisia, the team won three games, drew two and lost one.

The junior wasps are drawn in Group A alongside Burkina Faso, Egypt and Senegal.

Group B pits reigning champions Gambia against Ivory Coast, Mali and Congo Brazzaville.
