TANZANIA may have all the home support but Amavubi head coach Sellas Tetteh still believes that his wasps will have the last laugh in the last quarter-final of this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup.

The two sides face off at the glamorous 60,000-seater national stadium in a 3pm kick-off.

In the team’s previous two meetings, Rwanda prevailed after seeing off the Taifa Stars with a 2-1 goal aggregate win in the final qualifying round of the 2011 Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), a tournament reserved for players featuring in their respective domestic leagues.

In last year’s Challenge Cup edition, Rwanda still came on top after ejecting Tanzania in the semi-final (2-1).
However, Tetteh has warned his players not to dwell so much into these games.

"This is a different game all together and we have to stand up to the challenge. They are a different side and will be a hard nut to crack in their backyard,” the Ghanaian observed.

Tetteh is also hoping his strikers rediscover their scoring touch after failing to find the back of the net in Rwanda’s last group games against Sudan and Zanzibar.

"They have been hard working in the group stage and things will fall into place tomorrow,” the 53-year-old added.
Meanwhile, APR defender Didier Kapet is fit to play this afternoon after shaking off a knock in his right knee.

The left back trained yesterday.  Albert Ngabo however remains a doubt after sitting out yesterday’s training session because of an ankle injury.

The right back, who can also play on the right wing, got injured during Rwanda’s final group game Zanzibar.
Tumaine Ntamuhanga is now favourite to take his place in the starting eleven.

While Rwanda is gunning for their first title since 1999, Tanzania is desperate to end their 16-year wait.
The winner will face either Uganda Cranes or Zanzibar in the semi-final.

Meanwhile, guest sides Zambia and Malawi were forced to pack their bags after yesterday’s quarter-final defeats.
Zambia were stunned by Ethiopia 2-1 while Ivory Coast saw off Malawi after a hard fought 1-0 victory.
