Editor,
Last week, I read in your paper about the seized illicit drugs in the Western Province, particularly in Rubavu district, by the Rwanda National police and other local administration authorities.
I read this piece with dismay as statistics showed that the majority of abusers were youth who trade in this illegal practice for a quick buck, at the expense of their health and national laws.
1.5 tones of marijuana and thousands of toxic alcohol should not be allowed in this country, for they keep our youth hooked on illegal trade, instead of constructive and developmental business for the country.
As a Christian, I would like to quote the holy book (Bible), it stipulates that the bodies are the temples of Christ and we shall leave a life that is pure and pleases our savior.
In your paper, it was reported that the swoop was the second in six months. it is my wish that such operations should be more frequent to curb such vices.
