Editor,

I wish to state on record that the Parliament’s move to set up a com-mittee to investigate and compile a report, de-tailing the irregularities identified in the Ministry of Public Service and Labour is a welcome development.

The Minister, Anastase Murekezi, should stay calm because if the outcome of the investigations finds him on the right side, he should obviously stay on as a minister.

However, if, as reported in The NewTimes yesterday the minister violated article 181of the constitution, by allowing some government entities to recruit employees without going through the Public Service Commission, then action should be taken against him.

I ask  fellow Rwandans to support our lawmakers.
