AMAVUBI Stars are one of the most feared sides in the on-going Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup if views from selected Taifa Stars’ fans in Dar es Salaam are anything to go by.
Peter Kanduma, a Taifa Stars fan is curbing enthusiasm, insisting that tomorrow’s quarter-final against Rwanda will be nothing like the 3-0 amble against Somalia.
Kanduma expects a laborious test against Sellas Tetteh’s wasps.
"Now we have a tricky game against Rwanda and I have no doubt that it will be very difficult,” he said, adding, "I would have preferred to avoid Rwanda.”
"Amavubi ejected us during last year’s edition. They also eliminated us in the deciding CHAN qualifier back in May.”
In last year’s Challenge Cup edition held in Nairobi, Rwanda defeated Tanzania 2-1 courtesy of goals from Yusuf Ndayishimiye and Mutesa Mafisango.
