The 2023 Peace Cup tournament, which was expected to kick off February 7, has been rescheduled to February 14, football governing body (Ferwafa) announced on Monday.

The tournament kick-off was pushed within a week after the commission in charge of competitions revised it during a meeting held Friday, February 3.

The draw for the 2023 Peace Cup preliminaries will take place at Ferwafa headquarters on Wednesday, February 8.

The tournament will start with the preliminaries before teams head to the two-legged knockout stages starting from the round of 32.

Reigning champions AS Kigali won’t be able to defend their title after the club on Sunday announced their withdrawal from the 2023 edition.
