Sympathy to Rwandan driver lynched in Kenya

Editor, On  behalf of all law-abiding Kenyans: May I be permitted to use your platform to extend heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Laurent Bizimungu the Rwandan truck driver lynched by a mob in Western Kenya. Having narrowly survived a  similar incident (in the same area back in 1992), my heart contracted again with the helplessly fear that must have filled this man as he confronted the irrational and relentless anger of the attacking mob. May the Almighty GOD grant him eternal rest and watch over his surviving family.

Editor,

On  behalf of all law-abiding Kenyans: May I be permitted to use your platform to extend heartfelt sympathy to the family, friends and colleagues of Laurent Bizimungu the Rwandan truck driver lynched by a mob in Western Kenya. Having narrowly survived a  similar incident (in the same area back in 1992), my heart contracted again with the helplessly fear that must have filled this man as he confronted the irrational and relentless anger of the attacking mob. May the Almighty GOD grant him eternal rest and watch over his surviving family.

This is a general appeal to Kenyans living and working in Rwanda (and beyond): To contribute generously towards a Harambee Fund for the surviving family members. Yes we can tighten our belts just one more notch and cover this financial gap on behalf of our departed brother.  Together we can repair this painful violation of our historical friendship and good neighbourliness.
