HOSTS Tanzania reached the quarter finals of the Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup yesterday thanks to their 2-0 win over ten-man Burundi.

Two well taken headers by Nurdin Bakari sealed the win for the Taifa Stars in Dar-es-Salam.

Burundi were down to ten men late in the game when defender Nzeyimana Hussein was shown a second yellow.
The victory left the home side on six points, one less than Group A leaders Zambia who are also through to the last eight.

Bakari put the home side in the lead with a 20th minute header when Mrisho Ngasa sent in a cross after making light work of two defenders.
