The public expects the 1, 210 new graduates from the Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) to fill the skills gap in Rwanda.

A recently published National Skills Audit report revealed that there is a 40 percent skills gap in all sectors of the economy.

The report went on to highlight a severe human skills shortage both in the public and private sectors. Like in other sectors, education has skills deficit and the graduates will extend a helping hand to solve the problem.

I want to advise school head teachers and officials from The Ministry of Education to help the new graduates fit into the system and work hand in hand with them to address the shortage of teachers.
