KIGALI - Kigali city Mayor, Aisa Kirabo Kacyira has urged City leaders to stick to their duties if the country’s goals are to be realised.

Kirabo was speaking yesterday at the official opening of a two-day retreat of city authorities held at Bambino in Gasabo District.

The retreat, which focuses on how the leaders can accomplish their duties in the remaining two months of their term in office, brought together KCC officials, city advisory council, District committee bureaus who include mayors, presidents of Sector Advisory Councils and Sector Executive Secretaries, among others.

"This is a retreat to make a great change in the remaining two months. We must achieve all our targets,” Kirabo noted.

She reminded the leaders to ensure cleanliness and hygiene and maintaining a green Kigali City.

"Yes, there are achievements made but there are unrealized goals as a result of lack of commitment. We have the budget and support we need, why can’t we do our duties as required?” Kirabo wondered.

She urged them to ensure structural, legal and procedural reforms in the remaining period.
