WHILE a draw is enough to see Amavubi through to the last eight of this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup, Sellas Tetteh insists that his team is going out for a win this afternoon.

Rwanda wind up their Group B campaign against Zanzibar at the 60-000 seater national stadium in Dar es Salaam and Tetteh told Times Sport that the team’s target is to finish top of the group.

Amavubi heads into the tie top of the group with four points after a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast and a goalless draw against Sudan.

"Zanzibar beat Sudan so technically, we are up against a very strong side,” Tetteh warned.

"It’s very important that we keep our focus and keep playing the way we have in the first two games.  Maybe what we need to do better is take our chances,” he added.
Apart from APR’s forward Emmanuel Sebanani who is injured, Tetteh has a fully-fit squad.

Zanzibar opened their campaign with a surprising 2-0 win over Sudan only to lose to Ivory Coast 1-0 in their second game. This result left them joint second with the Elephants and a further two points clear of bottom side Sudan.

The other day’s game pits Zambia against minnows Somalia. Zambia top Group A with four points and like Rwanda, need a win to finish top of the group.

Yesterday, Emmanuel Okwi rescued a point for the defending champions Uganda with a 90th minute strike. APR’s striker Victor Nyirenda had given Malawi’s Flames the lead.

In the other Group C tie, a brace from Shemeles Bekele Godo gifted Ethiopia a 2-1 win over Kenya. Fred Ajwang scored Kenya’s consolation after coming off the bench.
With two defeats in as many games, Kenya’s final group game against Uganda will be a lost cause.

Malawi and Uganda top the group with four points; Ethiopia is third with three points while Kenya is bottom with zero points.
