On Sunday the curtain will comedown at the Tusker Project Fame Season 4 where the most impressive of the 15 wannabe-singers will walk away with Rwf35m, a recording contract and many other privileges.

Out of the 15 that entered the academy only 6 survive today and they are in the run in for the final prize, while entrants, Southern Sudan will have to wait for another year to have a shot on the top prize.

This years TPF has been a thrilling one and it can be generally believed that every year of TPF comes with new twists, more entertaining and it is fair to conclude that the talent show grows by the year.

This year, the judges—the Mighty Ian, Juliana and Hermes have impressed, the academy (teachers), very much improved and the participants have been impressive too. This year the participants have had to work more than they did in the past and they have had to be on top of their game or risk being booted.

Competitive, this year’s show has been. We have seen good voices booted out of the show. The eviction of the likes of Paleki, Gaga, Patricia and Aneth matched last years unexpected eviction of Debarl, but at the end of the day it is a show where many forces—viewers, contestants and the academy decide who goes and who stays.

This year we had our doze of comedy and theatrics. K-Deng and Juveh matched Ngangalitos antics and K-Deng in particular, despite his musical inabilities proved to be the crowds favourite.  The crowd has been as wild as ever, the MC’s Sheila and Dr. Mitch have done a great job
Rwanda is still represented by Gaelle who survived probation every week she has been in the academy despite her being "disliked” by Judge Ian. The Rwandan beauty has courageously pushed through the hardships with guts while maintaining a warm smile.

Winning or without winning, Gaelle will comeback home to a heroes welcome by her many fans at Kigali International Airport. 

Uganda and Kenya still have 2 contestants in the academy giving the two countries high chances of winning. Uganda’s Davis and Rachel have maintained good vocals while Kenya’s Steve and Amileena also stand high chances.
Msechu on the other hand still represents his country Tanzania raising chances of a Tanzanian contestant winning the contest for the first time.

The top prize is tightly contested and you will likely lose your money if you bet. It’s for anyone to take and we will find out on Sunday. The contestant with the least votes will be evicted on Saturday.

Who is Who?

Gaelle Atete (Tusker 1)

The cat with 9 lives, she has survived probation from day one and has always managed to make it back into the Academy. Gaelle seems to have shed off her shyness and has grown stronger musically with every week that has passed.

A darling of the voting public, this weekend Gaelle will take on the judges’ choice song "Time after time” by Cindi Lauper as well as "J’amerai que te dise” by Zao.
 
Amileena Mwenesi (Tusker 4)

The Kenyan hotelier has been on probation three times. She has grown tremendously musically after the judges accused her of "over singing”. She takes on Tina Turner’s hit, "What’s love got to do with it” on request from the judges as well as Asa’s "Jailer”.
 
Davis Ntare (Tusker 5)

Resilience and hard work pays. Davis knows this more than anyone else. After being sent home during the Gala show last year, he gave it another shot and now he is inline for bigger things.

This week he will perform Air Supply’s "I’m all out of love” and Michael Jackson’s "Billie Jean”.

Rachel Namubiru (Tusker 7)

The rising star has managed to impress Judge Ian on a number of occasions. It’s no wonder she has managed to evade probation.

This week she is set to sing Whitney’s timeless hit "I wanna dance with somebody” that the judges have chosen for her as well as "Nikubambe” by Brenda Fassie.

Peter Msechu (Tusker 9)

He loves his food and he is funny too. He has shown skill in performing African songs. This weekend he performs Papa Wemba’s ‘Show me the way” as well as Mbaraka Mwinishehe’s "Naomba nipate nafasi”.

Steven Nyabwa (Tusker 10)

The deep baritone croons out his songs perfectly and is quite a charmer as he has had at least three ladies in the TPF house vying for his affection.

This weekend the Judges chose Barry White’s "Just the way you are” as well as "So Amazing” by Luther Vandross at the final shows.
