RICHARD Tardy has further bolstered his squad with three foreign based players; Djarud Karenzi, Bonfils Kabanda and Raymond Lepart.

Karenzi, who has had stints at Glasgow Rangers and Hearts in Scotland, is a creative midfielder while Kabanda and Lepart, who play for Brussels FC in Belgium, are expected to provide more cover at the back.

Tardy has however stressed that the pair is not an automatic pick for him.

"It is good that they are here so they now need to show that they deserve to be in the team,” the French tactician said.

The junior wasps will wind up their three-week training camp in Tunisia this Friday.

While in Tunis, the youngsters have developed into a formidable side after a run of four wins and a draw.

The team started off with a goalless draw against US Monastir but improved to register a 1-0 win in the next game. They then beat JS Kairouanaise U-20 1-0 before registering a similar win over Sfax U-20.

The junior wasps are drawn in Group A alongside Senegal, Egypt and Burkina Faso and will open their 2011 U-17 Africa Youth Championship campaign against the latter.
Group B pits reigning champions Gambia against Ivory Coast, Mali and Congo Brazzaville.

The tournament which runs from January 8-22 will be jointly held in Kigali and Rubavu. The top four will qualify for next year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.
