I was in a taxi at Kisementi, when I witnessed, in my opinion, an extraordinary act by a Traffic Police officer. There was an elderly lady who was repeatedly trying to cross the road but had failed. 

On every attempt, the rushing cars appeared to scare her and she would get back to the road side.

A traffic officer at the nearby intersection, saw the lady and immediately came to her rescue. He crossed over held her hand,  stopped the vehicles and crossed along with her.

I was left wishing I was not in a taxi so that I could personally congratulate him.  The act really touched me and felt proud to be from a country whose police force carries such discipline.

I would like to thank the police administration for instilling this kind of discipline amongst their officers. It shows a good image of the police as an institution.
