The long awaited Rwanda Revival Conference saw a multitude of believers from Rwanda and neighbouring countries flock BK Arena on February 4.

By noon gates were open with many queuing up perhaps to get the best seats at the venue.

Buses like Jaguar that transported people from Uganda were seen packed outside the Arena as motorcyclists and passers by looked on as people joined the long queue to enter the venue.

At exactly 2pm, the event started with the Rwanda Manifest choir, dressed in yellow and black, who led the congregation into praise and worship.

Famous gospel artistes both from Uganda and Rwanda also graced the event including Levixone, Kajambiya, Elayone Music, James and Daniel, alongside Musical Assemble, True promises, and others. They all cheered up the audience as they sang some of their favorite songs.

At around 5:30pm, Bishop Gahungu Bunini, welcomed apostle Grace Lubega amid cheers from the crowd.

In his message, Apostle Lubega told Rwandan believers of a transformation that is yet to come and urged Rwandans to stop building monuments of the past, explaining that God is yet to do what He has promised to Rwanda.

While preaching about the theme ‘revival’, he explained that it means a renewal, restoration and back to the place where someone should be.

He pointed out that revival is here, and all Rwandans need is to plug in that which God is doing.

Apostle Lubega noted that some pastors haven’t understood about revival and have left many Christians in the dark, a thing that has hindered them to see change even when they pray.

He emphasised that some people seek anointing for just material things like cars, riches and all the fancy things—they pray for things money can buy, yet hungry men should pray for grace.

The preacher encouraged brethren to learn how to pray—to receive from God instead of begging him, because He has done everything we need.

He added, "we are renewed because we died with Christ, and rose with Him. The church should know that we have been blessed by every spiritual blessing.”

Apostle Lubega encouraged pastors and other ministers of the gospel to emulate the example of Jesus as He was kind, lived a simple lifestyle and interacted with prostitutes and sinners, he wasn’t looking for power or glory yet a number of preachers are doing the opposite.

"They are using their offices to take advantage of what He has blessed them with. Some men and women of God are proud and have built glories around themselves."

He concluded his summon with prayer for the sick, urging them to believe for their healing.

Several people testified that they had experienced healing from backache, tumors, fibroids and earaches.

The conference ended with a number of people giving their lives to Jesus. These were prayed for and urged to join churches to fellowship from.

On February 3, apostle Lubega met with Christian ministers at Hilltop Hotel and country club Remera for a conference that was successful.
