Fils Clement Ndahiro is the Project Coordinator of Akazi Kanozi project, a programme being implemented by the Education Development Centre (EDC) with the aim of promoting youth with livelihood skills like welding, carpentry, and mason work.

Below is how he goes on with his daily activities;
I wake up at 5:30a.m, and have a prayer. I spend about 30 minutes listening to the morning bulletins mainly from local radio stations. And by 6, I am out of bed to prepare and get to work after having breakfast.

By 7am, I make sure I am at the place of work. The first thing I have to do is to check on the presence of the instructors to ensure that the day’s activities run smoothly. I then get to the office to make a report of the previous day.

I also monitor to make sure the re is availability of training materials or requirements and if not, I make a follow up to make plans for more materials.

I feel happy and excited if I happen to have lunch on time, as I most of the times during working days have it late. In the afternoon, I attend to some youth who have also shown interest in joining the training. In this, I give them guidelines by way of advising them on how to get on board in the next phase.

I work until 6pm and by 7pm, I am at home. I spend little time watching and listening to the music in the sitting room. I then have supper and get to bed at 10p.m.
