Kagabo pulls out of Challenge Cup

RWANDA’s senior referee Issa Kagabo will not officiate at this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup. The centre referee, who had successfully passed Friday’s cooper test jetted back yesterday to mourn his late father. The Cecafa secretariat has now summoned Uganda’s Ali Kalyango to fill the void.Primus league regular Hudu Munyemana has also been summoned to replace the ineffective Sudanese referee Rassas Librato Sabit who failed Friday’s Cooper test.

RWANDA’s senior referee Issa Kagabo will not officiate at this year’s Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup. The centre referee, who had successfully passed Friday’s cooper test jetted back yesterday to mourn his late father.

The Cecafa secretariat has now summoned Uganda’s Ali Kalyango to fill the void.Primus league regular Hudu Munyemana has also been summoned to replace the ineffective Sudanese referee Rassas Librato Sabit who failed Friday’s Cooper test.

Referees expected to officiate at the two-week event include Israel Mujuni from Tanzania, Dennis Bate (Uganda), Ramadhan Kibo (Zanzibar) and Bamlak Weyesa Tessema (Ethiopia).

Assistant referees are Charles Nizigiyimana from Burundi, Gebre Silassie Solomon (Ethiopia), Wamalwa Elias Kuloba (Kenya), Theogene Ndagijimana (Rwanda), Hamis Chang’walu (Mainland), Bugembe Hussein (Uganda), Medany Mustafa (Sudan) and Bashir Arab (Somalia).
