Patriots basketball club head coach Henry Mwinuka has warned his players to avoid taking Espoir lightly when the pair square off Sunday at STECOL basketball court.

Espoir’s five-game unbeaten run came to an end on Friday after spirited APR stunned them 80-35 but Mwinuka called on his men to remain cautious about the threat the club may pose ahead of Sunday’s game.

"We should not underestimate the opponent, Espoir is a tough side to play against, so we need to be careful,” the Tanzanian told Times Sport.

Patriots beat IPRC-Kigali 98-40 and Mwinuka is confident that, despite a slow start to the season, his side has regained its form with which they can go on to win the league.

Elsewhere, United Generation Basketball (UGB) play IPRC-Musanze at the same venue at 1pm.
