THE Star-studded Tusker Project Fame season four is certainly nearing the end.
With only seven contestants left in the Academy and four on probation – Amileena, Gaelle, Steve and Paleki, only viewers have the opportunity to save their two favourite contestants back for the final.
On eviction night, Gaelle is expected to perform "Vuli Ndlela” by Brenda Fassie, the song that put her on probation actually.
Speaking to The New Times, the songster promised good stuff, saying she had done enough rehearsals.
"I am very confident about today’s performance. However, I request East Africa to vote for me because without your support, I can’t go any further,” Gaelle said on phone.
Gaelle also defended TPF 4’s harsh judge, Ian Mbugua, describing him as professional.
"Ian is not mean like many people think. He speaks his mind and this encourages us to go an extra mile,” Gaelle explained.
Early this week, the contestants got a wonderful surprise from their homes, when they were given presents sent from relatives.
On Sunday, the contestants will perform songs composed by themselves. However, if the rotation of the past seasons is to be considered, 2010 is a year for the newcomer country.
With Kenya’s Valerie Kimani winning 2007, Uganda’s Esther Nabaasa, 2008, Rwanda’s Alpha Rwirangira emerging top in 2009, the name Sudan is now being talked about. Tusker would want to promote its drink there.
Or should we believe in miracles and hope that Tanzania’s remaining representative Msechu will be the one to smile last? Either way, Gaelle is requesting everyone to vote for her and give her a shot at winning the reality show.
