Junior Wasps bag third victory

The team is undergoing a three-week training camp in Tunis as a build up to January’s Caf U-17 Championship which will be held in Kigali and Rubavu.

JUNIOR Wasps extended their unbeaten run in Tunisia after beating Sfax U-20 1-0 yesterday. The team is undergoing a three-week training camp in Tunis as a build up to January’s Caf U-17 Championship which will be held in Kigali and Rubavu.

Skipper Emery Bayisenga converted a spot kick after a foul on Proline academy striker Andrew in the penalty area.
The youngsters started off with a goalless draw against US Monastir but improved to register a 1-0 win in the next game. The team then beat JS Kairouanaise U-20 1-0 courtesy of Andrew Butera’s second half strike.

The tournament will be staged from January 8-22.
The top four will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup finals which will be held in Mexico.
