Speaking to Business Times in Delhi, Rohit Aggarwal the CEO of Koenig solutions, said that the company plans to open up a training centre in Rwanda by next year.
"Rwanda is recognised as one of the countries in Africa that promotes the use of ICT development; that’s why we are going to set up a training centre,” he said.
He added that almost 200 Rwandans have benefited from the company’s programmes.
"Offshore Training at Koenig enables a paradigm shift in cost of IT training and certification for example the most popular IT certification, MCSE, costs €5,000 in Europe against €500 in India. Adding flight (€800) and accommodation (€700 for 14 days) the total cost is only €2,000 using offshore training”.
Aggarwal explained that, Koenig won the Microsoft Worldwide Partner award in 2008 and 2009 and it combines tourism with education with centers in Goa and the Himalayas in India.
Joel Ntihemuka, a Rwandan who has attended Koenig trainings in Red Hat Virtualization said that he received quality training and he is able to do the technical IT related activities at his work place at Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA).
The New Delhi based company offers globally recognized training and certification programmes on software such as Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Red Hat, Novell, EC Council, Linux Professional Institute, CIW and CompTIA as well as testing Centre for Prometric, VUE and Novell.
